The Path to Heaven - An Opera by Adam Gorb and Ben Kaye

I am extremely excited to be premiering the role of Dieter in Adam Gorb's brand new opera The Path to Heaven. A powerful tale of extremism, expedience and deceit, The Path to Heaven exposes the disintegration of the loves, lives and hopes of a family struggling to survive during the Holocaust. Constructed from a series of meticulously-researched individual stories by librettist Ben Kaye, this opera is going to be both a moving and devastating portrayal of a very relevent subject.

Rehearsals have already begun and I can't wait to see where Director Stefan Janksi takes the character of Dieter - a young man in 1940s Berlin - who becomes an Aushwitz soldier to try and save his true love Sara.

Performances are on June 19th 2018 at the Howard Assemply Room, Leeds at 7:45pm and on June 21st 2018 at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester at 7:30pm, conducted by Mark Heron and performed by musicians from Psappha and The Royal Northern College of Music.
